Greenbank Recording Studios

About Greenbank Recording Studios

Greenbank was started in 1983 by Doog Moody. His aim was to create a centre of excellence undertaking a vast and varied range of musical activities so everybody could share, enjoy and explore music to the full. The idea constantly expanding, developing and evolving within the guise of Greenbank Music Village. On June 12th 1998 he bought what was St. Mathews church hall in the High Town area of Luton and built the South of England's first Music Village. The music village theme boasts a market gallery, shop fronts, streets, cottage themed rooms and a village green coffee/tea shop. The "cottage" themed rooms are used as teaching / practise rooms, individually decorated as living rooms from different era's from the Victorian to the 60's for a relaxed, homely and inspirational feel. The market gallery is an area dedicated to the display and sale of our ever increasing range of instruments and accessories. The indoor village green is a comfortable open space to meet, talk, sip on a beverage from the coffee shop or just relax. There is also an award winning patio garden for the more favourable weather conditions. If you like music you'll love us.
