No - absolutely not! We welcome non-Musicians to use our website to book bands and solo acts for weddings, parties and events.

If you’ve always fancied learning a musical instrument or learning how to sing, why not take a look at our teachers section to find music teachers and schools in your area.

It is completely free to sign up to Musician Go and create a musician/band, teacher or business profile. Should you wish to voluntarily upgrade your listing to a pro account this will incur a fee - click here for more information on featured listing pricing.

If you are a music teacher and decide to offer lesson bookings through Musician Go, your bookings will be subject to a small percentage fee, payable to Silicon Barn Ltd (7.5% of the total sale for pro accounts; 12% for standard accounts) plus a card fee (a further 1.4% of total sale + 20p) to cover transaction costs.

Signing up to Musician Go is free! You can do so by completing the registration form, which is available here. If you are creating an account for a group of two or more musicians, select ‘band/group’. If you are registering as a solo performer, you will need to select ‘individual’ on the registration form.

You will first need to create a Musician Go account by completing this registration form. The signup process should not take longer than a few minutes - once completed, you’ll be available to advertise your services for hire.

Musicians and Bands:

  • Profile pinned to the top of search results
  • Rotated on the Musician Go homepage
  • Ad-free (external banner ads and links to other related artists) are removed from your profile
  • Ability to respond to customer reviews
  • Ability to add more videos to your profile
  • Option to add an image gallery to your profile

Teachers:

  • Profile pinned to the top of search results
  • Rotated on the Musician Go homepage
  • Ad-free (external banner ads and links to other local teachers) are removed from your profile
  • Ability to respond to customer reviews
  • Ability to add more videos to your profile
  • Lower fees for lesson bookings (5% rather than the 12% charged to standard profiles)

Businesses:

  • Profile pinned to the top of search results
  • Rotated on the Musician Go homepage
  • Ad-free (external banner ads and links to other local businesses) are removed from your profile
  • Ability to respond to customer reviews

To edit your profile, you first need to be logged in to your account. Click ‘sign in’ in the navigation bar at the top of your screen if you have not logged in already.

If your business already exists in our directory but you did not add it yourself, you will first need to claim it. Visit your profile and click the ‘claim this page now’ link.

First click the ‘Hire Musicians/Bands’ tab on the top navigation menu and then select ‘Find Individual Musicians’.

You can send a direct message to any user by using our instant messaging tool. When viewing a profile, press the ‘send message’ button to open the communication portal. You will be notified of any new messages when visiting the website while logged into your account, and by email (you can opt out of email communications when logged into your dashboard).
If you feel you are receiving too many emails from Musician Go, please do not mark our emails as spam. You can specify which kind of emails you would like to receive from us by logging into your account and updating your email preferences within your dashboard. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll find a link to your dashboard in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

First sign into your Musician Go account and open up your dashboard, the link to which appears in the top left hand corner of any page on the website while you are logged in.

Click the ‘delete account’ button that appears towards the bottom of the page.

Please note: deleting your account will not remove your profile(s) from our directories. If you would like to remove your profile(s) from our website, you will need to deactivate them. You can also do this in your dashboard.

We welcome all suggestions - big or small - to improve our website. So if you feel there is something we could being doing better, please let us know by using our contact form.
If another user is spamming you, you can report them to us and we will review the user’s actions before deciding whether to take further action. To do this, click the ‘report’ link you see alongside their name in the discussion section of your dashboard.
Absolutely! Before you sign up, please speak to us using the live chat facility or use our contact form and let us know which instrument you play, we'll see if we can add it to the website!
