    ABHORRENT SERVICE - DON'T GO!!!

The man at the counter was rude, impatient and unhelpful. All he wants is your money, and he will tell you to piss off to your face once he has decided that you are taking too long and/or not actually buying. :'(((If you are looking for string instruments or accessories, you are better off visiting the violin workshops nearby, for those owners are actual, experienced violin makers and they can offer you real expert advise. Alternatively, I suggest that you buy a £12 day-return train ticket to London and visit the various string shops there - they have a far wider selection, and for sure better customer service. Report

The woman running the shop was astoundingly unhelpful and unfriendly

I've been looking for a cello for some time and happened to be in Cambridge. I hadn't made an appointment but decided to visit to see what stock they had. There was no-one else there so the woman running the shop can't have been too busy to help me. I said I wasn't looking for a new cello and she said there were some other cellos downstairs. I asked if I could have a look and she agreed, although she wasn't friendly, helpful or welcoming. I had a quick look and would have liked to play one or two of the instruments but it really felt as if she was trying to get rid of me. She could not have been more uninterested or discouraging, it was almost ludicrous how reluctant she was. Considering the prices were in the region of £6K - £8K I thought it was bizarre. I'll never go again Report
